Summer vacations often allow you to get together with family or friends. A perfect opportunity to launch a small multiplayer game to face your comrades or cooperate with your friends. We offer you a selection of nine games included in Game Pass Ultimate to absolutely try if you are a fan of Couch Gaming. Now that Lethal League and Streets of Rage 4 have left Game Pass, what’s left?
- gang beasts
- Golf with your friends
- Halo Master Chief Collection
- gears 5
- two are required
- annealed 2
- Windjammers 2
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Shredder’s Revenge
One of LunchPlay’s star games of 2018 is available on Game Pass. And with it the bad shots will merge. In this fighting game where up to four players can compete, warriors must fight to survive in colorful worlds full of traps. The originality of the software is based on its maneuverability, after all, players can cling to other players and the stage thanks to the triggers. With the fairly accurate physics engine, situations quickly become fun. Driven by a fun and effective concept, Gang Beasts is one of those ideal titles for a night out with friends. Without the headache, but with catches.
Golf with your friends
Golf With Your Friends is a mini golf game that lets you compete against your friends locally. What more can we say except that it offers varied levels with multiple rules that complicate the tests, and that the names of the birds merge quickly? Golf With Your Friends is an extremely friendly game with simple and immediately understandable rules. It’s perfectly designed to play with people who aren’t necessarily used to video games, even if the frustration related to certain parts might put them off in the long run.
Halo Master Chief Collection
By putting the first four adventures of Master Chief in the same box, Halo: The Master Chief Collection becomes one of the best titles to experience cooperatively with your friends. The technically enhanced episodes of the collection can be played in local co-op. However, the number of players can vary from episode to episode (two player maximum in split screen in Halo 3 and Halo 4, for example). Fans know how fun it is to go through Silent Cartographer, Halo Delta, or even Covenant Alliance levels with multiple people. With its many multiplayer modes and their extensions (Reach, ODST), the MCC is an option for co-op FPS fans. If you love the universe, hundreds of hours of gameplay and fun await you.
Thanks to EA Play included in Game Pass Ultimate (or directly in Game Pass PC), subscribers to the Microsoft service can play the latest episode of FIFA. It’s up to you to play together with your favorite teams, either in the biggest stadiums in the world or on the streets thanks to Volta mode. We remind you that FIFA 22 is a title with pleasant gameplay powered by Hypermotion technology that offers more precise duels, new animations and realistic ball trajectories (on Xbox Series in any case). It’s time to tell the neighbors that there will be a racket… and bad faith.
The latest game created by The Coalition is packed with content to share with others. The Gears 5 campaign, first of all, can be played with up to three players locally. The adventure turns out to be of great quality and is sure to bring intense moments to your squad. Eager to include an audience not used to covering shooting games, the studio had the good idea to make Jack the flying robot playable. Beginners can thus accompany the pad professionals without losing too many feathers. Our little tip: feel free to try out the Hivebusters add-on which is a compendium of everything we love about Gears of War. Finally, Gears 5 offers a Horde mode and welcomes Escape mode.
two are required
While the very nice A Way Out is also available on Game Pass Ultimate (via EA Play), what we’re highlighting is the awesome It Takes Two. Designed by Hazelight Studios, a company founded by Josef Fares, It Takes Two offers two players an animated epic full of mini-games and fun sequences. As two fathers unknowingly turned into rag dolls by their daughter, the players must work together to win. Ingenious in what it offers, varied in its situations, It Takes Two won Game of the Year 2021 at the Game Awards.
Ha, summer. This sun, this festive atmosphere… an ideal time to lose all your friends! Who does not know Annealed? The principle is simple: in a kitchen, little chefs led by the players try to prepare dishes in more extravagant situations than the others. Cutting, cooking and now mixing, everything would be simple… if it weren’t for traps like conveyor belts and ravines! The title published by Team17 is even more fun than the first thanks to its various new features. But be careful, it can destroy couples.
Windjammers 2 is the logical continuation of the episode released in 1994 with new characters, new mechanics and a lot of advantages. We find this Pong-inspired game immediately understandable where on a two-dimensional field, players face each other and must score points by sending the Frisbee into opposing goals. The easy grip won’t close the door on neophytes, while the added shots provide an extra strategic layer for high-end gaming enthusiasts. A good 1v1 game, accessible and strategic, with arcade fun just the way we like it.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Shredder’s Revenge
A love letter to the beat ’em ups of the 16-bit generation, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is built on excellent gameplay and masterful production. Beautiful, colorful, well animated and accompanied by catchy music, the Tribute Games title will delight fans of the famous turtles. Thanks to its dodge system, it is more accessible than a Streets of Rage 4 and could appeal to people who are not used to the genre. As for the strictly multiplayer aspect, the game has the good idea of being able to play up to six in local co-op. Which is weird enough to be underlined.
