On trial for eight rapes, one attempted rape and one sexual assault in England, Benjamin Mendy has yet to be questioned. But the footballer put on a surprising routine during his trial.
Benjamin Mendy’s trial continues. For a few days, the footballer accused of eight rapes, an attempted rape and a sexual assault has an appointment at the court in Chester, in the north of England. If several of his alleged victims have already spoken out and delivered chilling testimonies, the 2018 champion has not yet been questioned. But on the court, Benjamin Mendy is not idle and even has a pretty amazing routine.. Sitting on the defendant’s bench, the defender writes frantically in a notebook that he carries with him every day… We do not know, however, what he writes down in this book. At the moment, four alleged victims of Benjamin Mendy have given their testimonies in court.
Almost all of them describe similar scenarios. They met him at parties before being invited to the soccer player’s house, in a house described as a “prison” by the prosecutor. There is an indoor swimming pool, a gym, but also two “panic rooms” that cannot be “unlocked only from the inside”. One of them explained that Benjamin Mendy would have “grabbed the vulva” meet her at home. “I immediately stopped and thought, ‘What just happened?’ she said. I think I was surprised because I was surprised and then I realized what had just happened.” Another accuses him of imposing oral sex on him. “It didn’t take long. In about twenty seconds it was over”she said.
Benjamin Mendy: what does the footballer risk?
As a reminder, Benjamin Mendy pleaded “not guilty” to all charges.. Arrested, the former France international was first jailed in Liverpool before being transferred to a high-security prison in Manchester.
