MG4: the compact electric finally debuts range and aggressive prices

We already knew almost everything about the new 100% electric compact from the Sino-British MG. Based on an unprecedented modular platform MSP (Modular Scalable Platform) dedicated to electric vehicles, the MG4 heralds the manufacturer’s ultimate strategy and paves the way for the 10 models expected by 2025.

Designed in the London studio, the MG4 is characterized by an original signature with slim headlamps and upward sloping gauges. The LED high and low beams form six vertical bands. The chiseled hood sinks over a closed grille with sharp lines, while the front spoiler sits on the nose of the car. The incisive styling extends to the design of the 172-LED taillamps, which are Y-shaped with a constellation-like pattern at the top of the light strip.

According to the manufacturer, the use of this new MSP platform not only makes it possible to reject the wheels at all four corners for better dynamism, but above all to integrate a battery. cell phone to pack among the thinnest on the market (110 mm), which lowers the center of gravity and improves road holding. The wheelbase also wins as it amounts to 2.7 m.
