Orders for the Renault Austral SUV are open. The range with three trim levels plus the Alpine Spirit pack and four engines sees its prices between €33,400 and €44,900.
Unveiled in early March 2022, the Renault Austral compact SUV opens for orders from September 20. The first deliveries will be made on the network in December 2022. Organized around three levels of finishes called Equilibre, Techno and Iconic, the Austral range also offers an Alpine Spirit pack but only in Techno and Iconic.
Under the hood, the Renault Austral offers a choice of four engines, all of which are electrified. The entry range offers a light hybridization of 48V on a 130 hp 1.2 turbo three-cylinder petrol block, the basic range also offers a light hybridization but this time in 12V and is based on a 1.3 turbo 4-cylinder 160 c . Upstairs come two standard (non-rechargeable) hybrid variants that combine the entry-level 3-cylinder engine with an electric machine, the former racking up 160hp and the latter claiming 200hp. The Austral Plug-In will arrive later.
The base price is €33,400 for a 130 hp Renault Austral Equilibre Mild Hybrid and a peak €44,900 for a 200 hp Renault Austral Iconic Esprit Alpine E-Tech Full Hybrid.

Renault Austral, main standard equipment by equipment level
The first level of Equilibre equipment comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free access card, automatic air conditioning and a 9-inch on-screen multimedia system, among other things. including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay protocols, the instrumentation has a 12.3-inch panel. Safety-wise, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and rear parking sensors are part of it.
The Techno finish adds 19-inch wheels, sliding rear seat, 12-inch screen multimedia system with navigation through Google Maps, reversing camera, front parking sensors and Multi-Sense driving modes. The Techno Esprit Alpine finish focuses on cosmetics through 20-inch wheels and a shield with a more assertive design. Please note that the rear seat no longer slides.
Added to the Iconic finish is the Techno finish, a more manly front bumper, specific 20-inch wheels, the motorized tailgate with hands-free function, reverse parking exit warning, blind spot warning and 3D camera with 360° vision. Finally, the Austral Iconic Esprit Alpine is distinguished from the Iconic by the 20-inch wheels with a specific design and the driver assistance package. The latter combines adaptive cruise control, lane centering and predictive driving.
